iNSPIRATION

Currents of Renewal was born from a reflection on how my life has unfolded — not as a straight line, but as a mosaic of disconnected endeavours.  A seemingly random meandering until time revealed the quiet harmony of my true purpose. Through this mosaic, I sought to give form to the quiet truth that even the most scattered of life’s experiences belong to a greater, luminous design, as planned by the Universe.

At first glance, the mosaic unfolds like fragments of unrelated moments — a terrain of shifting reds, scattered forms, and radiant interruptions. Yet within this seeming disarray runs a hidden current — the red path — like the pulse of destiny threading through time, life’s inner rhythm moving beneath the surface of chance and change. It moves with quiet insistence, sometimes visible, sometimes lost beneath layers of glass and stone, yet always present. This path is the rhythm of becoming — the journey that each life undertakes without knowing its design.

eXPRESSION

In Currents of Renewal, I have employed the artistic technique of Hundertwasser, paying homage to his free flowing vision.  Each curve honours Hundertwasser’s belief that art, like life, must move and breathe without restraint.  Each fragment, colour, and form in Currents of Renewal is a metaphor for the living fabric of existence — unpredictable, incomplete, yet profoundly interconnected. 

The asymmetry of the composition — where forms seem to grow and dissolve, and no single axis holds dominance — mirrors life’s refusal to conform to predictability. Yet, as in Hundertwasser’s vision, the seeming disorder hides a deeper rhythm: the organic harmony that emerges when one allows nature, emotion, and intuition to lead.

The unifying red path that courses through the mosaic is the soul’s journey — impassioned, uncertain, yet steady in its movement forward. It weaves through terrains of contrast — areas of dense texture and those of open luminosity — just as life moves through intensity and repose, chaos and clarity.

In contrast, the shimmering green background whispers a quieter power — the unseen intelligence of the universe shaping our red path. The background represents life’s hidden agenda, the fertile stillness where growth begins, even when unseen. 

The interplay of red and green — fire and earth, motion and balance — reveals the delicate harmony between human will and cosmic design.

The glowing circles and radiant nodes, scattered along the red path, represent moments of awakening — points where experience deepens into awareness. These circular forms are the pauses and illuminations that punctuate our personal journeys.

The interplay of warm reds against cooler tones, reflects the shifting moods of being — joy, loss, creation, stillness — all part of one unfolding movement. Each tesserae, with its own edge and colour, stands for the fragmentary nature of experience; yet, together, they create a wholeness that could not exist without the irregularity of its parts.

Ultimately, the mosaic conveys: what seems scattered is only life in motion — the red path weaving disorder into meaning, moment by moment.  The dominant red — fluid, impassioned, and unrestrained — carries the pulse of existence, the energy of becoming that courses through every stage of life. 

Together, these colours and form create a living dialogue between impulse and purpose, reminding us that what feels spontaneous is often guided by a larger, benevolent rhythm of the Universe.
