iNSPIRATION
The Tree of Life motif has always attracted me with its wisdom and its universal language—its intertwining branches and roots echoing the deep connections between eras gone by and our current inner landscapes. In mosaic, this symbol of a widespread tree becomes even more alive: each tesserae, each shift of colour and light, mirrors the idea that a family’s growth story is built through rooted values, across generations. Working with glass enables me to express the tree’s quiet radiance—the shimmer of the vital life-force moving through its branches and its roots, relaying its cyclical story of renewal and growth.
The Tree of Life inspires me to embrace life as a cyclical journey of renewal and growth, where values are not fixed in the past but continually take root in the evolving environment and re-emerge in new forms through each passing generation still relying on the basic framework laid by our ancestors.

eXPRESSION
Set within a circular form, Roots of Light, Crown of Life is expressed as a symbol of continuity, accompanied with progression in each passing generation. It is an eternal evolving cycle, rendered through a circular form which combines contemporary textures with, ancient patterning.
In creating this mosaic I focused on expressing vitality through movement, texture, and the natural harmony of earthy tones. The interlaced branches and roots are shaped through varied cuts of glass, each piece catching the light differently to suggest the quiet pulse and continuation of a living tree. With greens, browns, whites, and subtle iridescent shades of glass, woven into flowing rhythms, the design evokes both the rooted strength of the past and the gentle unfolding of the present. Together, these elements invite the viewer into a meditative space, where time feels circular. Here, life is sensed not as an event, but as a continuous path to ‘becoming’, moving on an evolutionary path through generations.
